Het gaat in totaal om zo\u2019n 220\u00a0verkooppunten in onder meer luchthavens, en metro- en treinstations, winkelstraten en ziekenhuizen. Ze worden uitgebaat door zelfstandigen franchisenemers. Press Shop en Relay sluiten het dichtst aan bij een gewone krantenwinkel, al verkopen ze daarnaast ook drank en voeding. Ubi verkoopt naast kranten ook kruidenierswaren, terwijl Hubiz-winkels eerder kleine supermarkten zijn.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"NL-BE\">Bpost\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"NL-BE\">kocht de retailgroep in\u00a02016<\/span><span lang=\"NL-BE\">\u00a0van het Franse concern\u00a0<strong>Lagard\u00e8re<\/strong>. Toenmalig CEO Koen Van Gerven hoopte zo de activiteiten van Bpost uit te breiden met enkele nauw aansluitende diensten. Ubiway Retail kon de hoge verwachtingen echter niet waarmaken: in\u00a02019 was er een bedrijfsverlies van 1,34\u00a0miljoen euro op een omzet van 184,5\u00a0miljoen.
