Overnamegesprekken met\u00a0<strong>bpost\u00a0<\/strong>zouden in het laatste stadium zitten.<\/p>\n<h2>Gokken in de krantenwinkel<\/h2>\n<p>Kan een gokbedrijf een (gedeeltelijk) overheidsbedrijf overnemen? Het ziet er toch naar uit, volgens De Tijd. De overnamegesprekken tussen Belgisch postbedrijf bpost en Golden Palace, een uitbater van speelzalen en onlinekansspelen, zouden\u00a0in de laatste rechte lijn zitten.<\/p>\n<p>Golden Palace wordt dan eigenaar van\u00a0<strong>Ubiway Retail<\/strong>, dat 170 krantenwinkels en convenience shops telt, uitgebaat door zelfstandige franchisenemers. Het gaat om de franchiseformules Press Shop, Relay, Hubiz en Ubi, die vooral in stations maar ook in winkelcentra en luchthavens te vinden zijn.<\/p>\n<h2>8,5 miljoen euro verlies<\/h2>\n<p>Golden Palace ziet de voormalige spoorwegketens wellicht als aanvullende kanalen om zijn kansspelen aan de man te brengen. In de winkels worden ook al producten van de Nationale Loterij verkocht. Hoeveel de overnamekandidaat daarvoor op tafel zou leggen, is onbekend.<\/p>\n<p>Zeker is wel dat bpost snel van Ubiway Retail af wil zien te geraken.
