Op die manier willen ze naar eigen zeggen bio naar een hoger niveau tillen en sterker staan om de uitdagingen en opportuniteiten op de markt aan te pakken. Ekoplaza, waar in ons land de groothandel Biofresh achter zit, nam twee jaar geleden al de 12 winkels van biospecialist Origin\u2019O over.<\/p>\n<p>De keten ziet in Belgi\u00eb een markt voor 50 biowinkels. Voor Alexis Descampe en Lionel Wauters, mede-oprichters van F\u00e4rm, is de fusie een logische stap. \u201cWe delen dezelfde waarden en overtuigingen. Terwijl wij actief zijn in Brussel en Walloni\u00eb, is Ekoplaza dat vooral in Vlaanderen. Samen kunnen we alle Belgen bereiken en een echte toegevoegde waarde brengen voor de bio-consumenten.\u201d Luc Dossche, directeur van Biofresh: \u201cSamen kunnen we een grotere maatschappelijke impact hebben. We kunnen genieten van schaalvoordelen op vlak van technologie, logistiek en aankoop, waar zowel de consumenten als onze leveranciers kunnen van profiteren.\u201d F\u00e4rm heeft 8 onafhankelijke winkels en 9 fanchisewinkels in Brussel en Walloni\u00eb.
